Boom by the Bay

Mayor Jane Castor’s Boom by the Bay is Tampa’s premier Fourth of July celebration, featuring family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food trucks, a boat parade, and three firework displays, including the largest-ever fireworks display along Tampa’s iconic Bayshore Boulevard.

The fireworks are scheduled to start at dusk (approximately 9:15 pm), weather permitting.

All fireworks will be shot from barges along the waterfront in the following areas:

• Bayshore Boulevard (near Davis Islands Bridge)
• Sparkman Wharf
• Armature Works

Each location will have its own activities and programming during the event. The firework displays will be different at each location, with the largest display happening along Bayshore Boulevard. See below for an idea of what you can expect at each location.

Bayshore Boulevard – starting at 7:00 PM

• Food trucks, live entertainment, largest firework display

Star Spangled Sparkman – starting at 11:00 AM

• Water ski show, live music, food & drink, firework display

The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works – starting at 3:00 PM

• Live music, hot dog eating competition, kid zone, food & drink, firework display

Curtis Hixon Park – 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM

• Food trucks, Boom Bar, music, family fun area
• Note: fireworks will not be visible from this location

Water Works Park – starting at 4:00 PM

• Food trucks, music, firework viewing area

Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal in and around Downtown Tampa due to the event taking place at multiple locations. Barricades and signs will be located to assist with traffic flow. Please use caution when driving in the area.
