Gasparilla Pirate Fest

The Gasparilla Pirate Fest is Tampa’s annual celebration of its pirate-themed heritage, featuring a series of events that attract locals and visitors alike. The 2025 festivities are scheduled for January 25, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

Location: Along Bayshore Boulevard – Parade Map

Key Events:

• Gasparilla Invasion Brunch (10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.): Held at the Tampa Convention Center, attendees can enjoy a meal and cocktails while watching the pirate ship, Jose Gasparilla II, sail into Seddon Channel.
• Gasparilla Invasion (11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.): The Jose Gasparilla II, carrying Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla pirates, sails into Tampa, marking the beginning of the day’s pirate-themed activities.
• Gasparilla Parade of Pirates (2:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.): A 4.5-mile parade along Bayshore Boulevard featuring floats, marching bands, and pirate krewes celebrating the “capture” of the city.
• Pirate Fest Stage Performances (10:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.): Live music and entertainment at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and MacDill Park, enhancing the festive atmosphere throughout the day.

The Gasparilla Pirate Fest is a family-friendly event that has been a Tampa tradition since 1904, offering a unique blend of history, entertainment, and community spirit.
